A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the messages sent to non-existent addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you will never miss emails because the other side has an obsolete address or has made a spelling error. The drawback of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of junk email messages, but this issue can be rectified by using anti-spam protection software. It’s also vital to remember that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming messages to a 3rd-party address.
Catch-all Emails in Hosting
You will be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulty if you’ve got a hosting account with our company. The Email Manager tool in our custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-rich, yet astonishingly simple to use, and it will enable you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with only a few mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you’ve got will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each of them you’ll find a small "Catch-all" symbol. Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
A catch-all address can be configured with a few clicks if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with our company. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be managed through our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up mailboxes using any domain hosted there. To activate the catch-all functionality for a mailbox, you will need to click the sign with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Disabling this functionality can be done in the very same manner and will not require more than a click either. In case the catch-all functionality has already been enabled for a particular domain name, you will get a notification. The same is valid if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never alter or deactivate anything automatically.
